Tracking your children's medication {and a free printable}

Recently, one of my children had her tonsils and adenoids removed and, after we left the hospital, I found it difficult to keep track of what medication needed to be administered and how much and when - particularly in the middle of the night when my brain was foggy. So I created a medication chart to track it all for me.

Medication Tracker for kids

I once read that only one parent should be responsible for giving medicine to a child to prevent double-ups. In our house, this job usually falls to me but I'm not always at home when the medicine needs to be given, so this printable ensures that we're all on the same page, literally.

If you're unlucky enough to have more than one ill child at home at the same time, print a separate sheet for each child. You may even want to print a few now to stick in your medicine cabinet so you're all prepared for when a nasty virus hits. At least racking your brain to remember whether your feverish child is able to have another dose of pain relief will be one less thing to worry about!
