Back to school: kids' packing lists
School is now in full swing and registrations for after school winter sports have well and truly begun. You may find that you’re being dragged all over town after school for sports training, dance lessons, music lessons and everything else in between.
To make your afternoons run a little more smoothly, it’s a good idea to get the kids into the practice of packing the night before. Rather than reminding them of each and every item that needs to be packed, day in, day out, put together a list that they can use to pack their bags themselves. It'll save you time and teach them some independence.
This free printable editable packing list has space for four different types of bags your kids can pack – they can range from sports bags to preschool and school bags and even “Going to Grandma’s” bags as well.
Ideas of things to add to the list are:
Jacket or warm clothing
Other protective gear
Equipment such as bats, racquets, balls etc
SCHOOL AND PRESCHOOL BAGS
Wet weather gear
If your kids are old enough, they can check through the list themselves. If they’re younger, the list will help you because you don’t have to call on memory each time. The beauty of a list like this is that it’s all there in front of you so you can save your brain space for something more important. You have enough on your mind as it is!
You can download your Kids’ Packing Checklist here and edit it on screen. Then save it so you can change it as your family’s needs change during the year.
And remember - you can always go to the Printable Library any time to download it again.
Happy back to schooling!
