Day 7 of the 12 Days of Planning: Notes for next year

Christmas is over for another year - whether you're breathing a sigh of relief or pouting that the fun is all over, you have a rare moment now to note down some ideas to make next year even better.

So I've created this Notes for Next Year free printable for you to print out and use before you forget it all!

I began my list some years ago and have been adding a few points to it each year ever since. There is so much to remember at that time of year, you'll be glad you saved yourself some frantic moments when you're in the thick of it.

I once heard Susan Sarandon tell Oprah (random!) that her mother always gave them one gift on Christmas Eve and it was always new pyjamas. I loved that idea so this is now a tradition of ours but something I usually completely forget until I refer to this list in November.

Some examples you might put on your list are:

TRADITIONS - The 'new pyjamas' tradition.

GIFTS - Get a gift for that neighbour you almost forgot this year.

FOOD - Make rum balls to have with coffee after dinner.

CHRISTMAS DAY- Get a photo of everyone sitting around the table before they begin eating.

DON'T FORGET- Give the kids 'something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read' - I just heard this recently so I've made a note to do it next year!

Make sure you enter some of these as tasks in your planner as well. Perhaps you wished you'd handmade your teacher's gifts this year but left it too late - put a task in your planner now for September or October next year to start planning for this.

So, while your mind is fresh, print this Notes for Next Year free printable and get scribbling. Happy Boxing Day!
